The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz\’s government finished its term on May 31, 2018.

When it came to power after sweeping the 2013 elections, the PML-N, which prides itself on prioritising economic growth and development, set out ambitious policy goals in its manifesto that year.

How many of those promises did the party live up to five years later? Let\’s look at what the data says.

This project is one of its kind, as no other piece in Pakistan ever tried to objectively assess the performance of five years of last government. This is first piece which compared manifesto promises with ground realities, it deconstruct many myths and bring relaity into a fair debate.

What makes this project innovative?

This project analyzed the manifesto promises of PML-N 2013-18 in the light of data. This project is one of its kind, as no other piece in Pakistan ever tried to objectively assess the performance of five years of last government. This is first piece which compared manifesto promises with ground realities, it deconstruct many myths and bring relaity into a fair debate. Dawn.com did a survey of most read stories, and this story was among the top read stories at the top position.

What was the impact of your project? How did you measure it?

This was one of most read story during elections in Pakistan. It explaned the readers the truth about performace of last governments. It objetcively analyzed most of the policies with the help of data.
